Meet the team
Including some of its various parish members.
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain....though it was not I, but the grace of God which is with me (1 Cor. 15:10).
OUR FOUNDERS
God raises up the lowly as His coworkers in order to more clearly manifest His goodness and glory. As St. Paul says, "God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not...so that no human being might boast in the presence of God." And so our Founders resolutely hold their roles with a spirit of personal poverty and thanksgiving as St. Paul continues, What have you that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if it were not a gift?"
Austin Habash
Sent Evangelization is an absolute gift, given to Gabriel and I to steward for God's greater glory among men, and the greater joy, of us, His servants. Please join us in praying that God continues to send His laborers into the harvest.
Fr. Gabriel Sabado
It is a great gift to share the Gospel to all those I encounter each day. As a co-founder of Sent Evangelization, it is my hope to disciple Catholics in receiving and proclaiming the Gospel to all people through neighborhood evangelization.
EVANGELISTS, INTERCESSORS, SUPPORTERS
In the words of St. Paul, "having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us them: if prophecy, in proportion to the faith; if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness." Thus, each parish Sent team compromises of three parishoner sub-teams, corresponding to the Romans 12 gifts, and makes the work of neighborhood complete through diversity.
SOME PARISH
EVANGELISTS
The evangelists are the hands and feet of the evangelical body, as St. Paul says, “how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news” (Rm. 10:15). Parish evangelists wear blue shirts with “Sent” on the front, and Rm. 10:13-15 on their back. Going into the streets two by two, they exercise the gifts of prophecy, exhortation, and teaching
(Neighborhood Evangelization, pg. 59, 61).
Katie, Evangelist
We have people of different ages and from all walks of life, and I just love everyone there. I love this community.
Skip, Evangelist
I really enjoy being with my close friends as we go on mission and knock on strangers’ doors.
DeAnna, Evangelist
I tell people I do six hours of volunteering a week, and Sent is my most beloved piece of my volunteering experience.
VARIOUS
INTERCESSORS
The intercessors are the heart and soul of the evangelical body. Intercessors wear the red shirts with “Sent” on the front, and 2 Cor. 1:11 on their backs. Committed to praying for the souls surrounding the church, they prepare restless hearts to hear the “gospel of peace” (Eph. 6:15). In this way, the intercessors are just as present to the neighborhood as the evangelists are. As St. Faustina writes, “by prayer and mortification, we will make our way to the most uncivilized countries, paving the way for the missionaries" (Neighborhood Evangelization, pg. 61).
Mark, Intercessor
Since Sent, I have noticed a general movement toward being open to share my faith with others.
Larry, Intercessor
I am really impressed with the organization and the three-fold Sent Roles: Intercessors, Evangelists, and Support.
Collette, Intercessor
It has been great to hear how our prayers manifest in evangelists stories....It's been a gift to see God working.
SELECT
SUPPORTERS
The Support Team is the backbone of the evangelical body, first through providing materials for the apostolate which are necessary to assure that the “gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world,” (Mt. 24:14) as well as writing charitable letters and crafting thoughtful gifts for various outings in the neighborhood. Support members wear grey shirts with “Sent” on the front, and Rm. 12:6-8 on their back (Neighborhood Evangelization, pg. 63).
Diana, Support
I like the diversity of the whole group...young adults to older folks that come together and support the mission.
Meg, Support
Sent has been a wonderful experience. I love the teaching component at the beginning of each Sent Saturday meeting.

LeeAnn, Support
Sent has been a great way for me to really get to know other parishioners. We do a lot of chatting while writing letters.
